Size and Appearance
Transparent bell with 1.5-3 centimetres in diameter. Four tentacles, one in each corner, 5-15 centimetres long.
First aid
Priorities for non-tropical jellyfish (marine stingers) common in Australian waters.
- Remove any adhering tentacles.
- Wash area with sea water (not freshwater).
- Apply cold packs for 10 minutes.
- Re-apply if skin pain persists.
- Send for medical aid if symptoms persist or worsen.
